The Scottish Muay Thai council is Scotlands oldest and largest independent Muay Thai Associations. We were formerly part of Master Sken's famous Sitnarong camp. From August 1989 to 1995 we were known as Sitnarong Scotland, headed by Master Skens senior instructor in Scotland John Craig.
John went on to form the Scottish Muay Thai Council on the 13th of January 1995. John became our Chief instructor and had his head quarters and gym in Otago St. which is situated in the west end of Glasgow. This gym was closed in 2001. Our new gym and head quarters is still situated in the west end but has now moved to 1103 Argyll St.
Over the years the Scottish Muay Thai Council has gained a reputation for being both professional and reliable. We are now recognised as one of the UK's top camps.
Our camp name is Siam Dornadair, meaning Thai Fighter. John still has a strong bond with his master and mentor Master Sken and also friend and instructor Sandy Holt. He also continues to have a good working relationship with all the top camps in the UK and abroad.

Upcoming April Events
Dont book your holidays just yet! Coming up in April, our fighters will be visiting London and Sweden.
First stop, Sweden on the 8th of April for a massive fight night put on by our guests from the October fight night in Meadowbank late last year.
Then on Saturday the 29th of April the SMTC travel to South London, where John Jarvis will host a promotion.

PLYMOUTH FRIDAY 8th JULY 2006:
Laura Craig, Morvan Durick, Emma Close and Anne Larsson are all matched to fight on the first ever female only muay thai event on Sid Remmer's show down in Plymouth on 8th July.
